This family is home to an active and engaging 4-year-old boy. His father, a busy professional who works from home, seeks consistent, high-quality care to support their dynamic schedule. The family values an interactive approach to play and a nanny who can seamlessly become a trusted part of their routine. The child is initially shy but warms up well, especially through playful engagement.

The Opportunity:

You will primarily provide dedicated care during specific weekday evenings and every other weekend, becoming a consistent and nurturing presence in the child's life. Beyond direct childcare, your support with light household tasks related to the child's activities will be highly valued. This role offers the chance to build a meaningful, long-term relationship with a family who appreciates stability and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Providing safe, interactive, and attentive supervision for a 4-year-old boy.

Engaging in age-appropriate activities such as playing with cars, Legos, and outdoor park adventures.

Assisting with meal and snack times (simple kid-friendly foods), encouraging independence while providing support as needed.

Supporting potty independence and fostering good hygiene habits.

Handling the child's laundry and assisting with general tidying, dishes, and organizing related to childcare activities.

Providing transportation for school pickups/drop-offs (from Liberty preschool) and travel to activities or between residences (Buckner and a Columbus Park condo).

Following established routines for naps and communicating any behavioral concerns directly to the father.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position with a consistent schedule:

Mondays & Tuesdays: 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Every other Friday: 4:30 PM-7:30 PM

Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday): 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of verifiable childcare experience (professional setting preferred, but strong informal experience will be considered).

Must be at least 18 years of age.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and current car insurance for safe transportation.

Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain immediately upon hire).

Comfortable working in a household with a "no outside shoes" policy (indoor shoes acceptable).

Understanding and adherence to a non-smoking/vaping policy.

Comfortable with background checks that screen for drug use (recreational cannabis use is acceptable; no hard drugs or alcohol habits affecting work).
